Did you know that the Bermuda Triangle has taken 1000 lives in the last 100 years? Private boats and planes and even some military aircraft and ships have been disappearing for many years without explanation. It is the only place in the world where electromagnetic compasses go strangely wrong and do not work. Why do these things happen? The past holds many secrets. There are many unsolved historical mysteries that continue to interest people today. This paper will attempt to solve the mystery of the Bermuda Triangle by examining new and old evidence and resources.
The Bermuda Triangle is located in the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of North America. It is a triangle formed between Bermuda, Miami, and Puerto Rico. It is the same today as when it was discovered by Christopher Columbus in 1492. No one knows why all the accidents happen.People have made many attempts to explain the strange events even though they have no real proof.
There are many theories for the Bermuda Triangle. WikiAnswers.com says, “A book by Lawrence David Kusche explained that the reason for the ‘disapperances’ are caused by storms in the triangle area by infrasound powerful enough to destroy ships, planes and humans as well.” Infrasound is a very low noise that humans can’t hear. Some people think that there is a time warp, but they don’t know where it is. An article called Sea Monsters says, “Some believe in sea monsters that supposedly sink the ships.” The last theory that I will list is very unbelievable. The theory is that death rays from Atlantis are causing the disappearances.People believe that there are magic crystals in Atlantis.Obviously, they don’t have any proof. Scuba divers have never found any crystals from Atlantis either. They haven’t even found Atlantis. There are many crazy theories out there about the Bermuda Triangle.
Many people believe that the Bermuda Triangle is a myth. Sadia Hanif says, “Okay Let me tell you right off that the Bermuda Triangle is a myth that started off as old-time stories that sailors used to tell new ship mates to give 'em the heebie-jeebies. Now let me go on to say that the myths have become a great money making scam by people who like to stretch the truth.”Bermuda Triangle- Fact or Fiction? says, “Also, another factor, can that be of hurricanes, which are very common in the Bermuda Triangle area. Apart from these, another factor, which holds much strength, is the formation of methane in the sea. As it is, formation of methane can lower the density of water, leading to the sinking of ships.” These theories are more believable.
The history of the Bermuda Triangle is very unexplainable to many people. This is a mystery that will continue to interest people for a very long time. After researching, I believe that the Bermuda Triangle is a myth and the disappearances are caused by hurricanes. It’s as simple as that. Military ships and aircraft have rarely disappeared. They pass through unharmed because they are designed to withstand hurricanes, while fisherman boats, public boats, and public aircraft are destroyed because they are not designed to survive a hurricane. One last thing you have to remember is that it is the only place electromagnetic compasses go wrong. I hope you understand my side of the story.
